Caretenders Inc. was founded in 1988 to acquire, to develop, and to operate retirement facilities throughout Canada and the United States.Since its founding, Caretenders has been involved in the development of five retirement facilities in British Columbia and two in Ontario. With the exception of four facilities, which have been successfully sold, Caretenders has operated and managed these Canadian facilities from inception. In 1989, Caretenders was instrumental in purchasing, for a Canadian investment group, six facilities in the State of Arizona. Caretenders operated and managed these properties until 1995 at which time these facilities were successfully sold to a large U.S. operator. In June of 2007 Caretenders successfully sold three of its British Columbia retirement facilities, Orchard Valley in Vernon, The Shores in Kamloops, and Cherry Park in Penticton. Caretenders is currently in the process of planning and developing a new retirement facility in Armstrong B.C.
Currently, Caretenders operates and manages the following facilities:
The Queens Avenue Retirement Residence, Oakville, Ontario. The Bridge Street Retirement Residence, Belleville, Ontario. | ||||||
